Dan McCoy, M.D.

Dr. Dan McCoy was board certified in dermatology in 1997. A native of Bosque County, Texas, Dr. McCoy received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. Following an internship at Baylor University Medical Center in internal medicine, Dr. McCoy received his residency training in dermatology at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.

In addition to his medical practice, Dr. McCoy is

President of the Texas Dermatological Society for 2007-2008

Assistant Director of Psoriasis Research, Baylor Research Institute

A gubernatorial appointee to the Texas Health Care System Integrity Partnership: Collaboration Among Stakeholders to Promote a Safe, High-Quality, Transparent, and Efficient Health Care System in Texas, March 2007

A member of the Texas Physician Advisory Council of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas

Active in the Texas Medical Association, having served as past-chairman of the political action committee and on the council on legislation

Past-chairman of the Medical Arts Clinic Board of Directors in Corsicana, Texas

Past-chairman of the Navarro College Foundation Board of Directors

Dr. McCoy and his wife, Kristen, have two children. Dr. McCoy’s hobbies are reading, making gourmet chocolates, and scuba diving.
